Helsinki juhlii tänä vuonna 200 vuottaan pääkaupunkina. Kaupungin puistoissa on panostettu kukkaistutuksiin. Otimme muutaman kuvan Esplanadin hienoista kukkaistutuksista iltakävelyllämme. Ajelimme viikonloppuna Haminassa. Matkalla Haminaan näimme valtavan rekkajonon jonottamassa Vaalimaan tulliin. Hamina on vanha, kaunis ympyräkaupunki, jossa kävelimme ja otimme muutaman valokuvan. Helsinki celebrates its 200th anniversary as a capitalcity this year. There are many beautiful flowerbeds in the parks. We took some photos of the flowerbeds in the Esplanade park. We drove to Hamina during last weekend. On the way to Hamina we saw a very long trucks queue. The trucks were waiting for their turn to cross the border to Russia. Hamina is an old, beautiful town, where we walked and took a few pictures.

I have never been in Finland, so thank you so much for sharing some pictures of it here. The buildings in Helsinki and Hamima look so well-preserved and colourful. That IS a queue of trucks!!!! Luckily you weren't in it 😉

What a pretty city .. we have a city called Hamilton a few hours south of us here in Ontario .. but yours is much older and of course beautiful!
I understand your feelings about winter coming .. we can also have a very quick Autumn .. it goes before we get to enjoy it some years as does our Spring time too .. BIG sigh !
